What is the difference between 2-part and 3-part syringes?
2-part syringe: Barrel + Plunger
3-part syringe: Barrel + Plunger + Gasket(rubber)
We only handle Henke-Ject 2-part syringes.
What are the characteristics of a 2-part syringes?
Since 2-part syringes do not have rubber gasket and silicone oil(used as lubricant in 3-part syringes), they do not contaminate the sample and can be used to handle a variety of materials, including organic solvents.
Henke-Ject 2-part syringes are made of polypropylene barrel and polyethylene plunger.
What is the difference between centric and eccentric syringes?
Centric syringe has its tip on its center, while eccentric syringe has its tip on the edge of the barrel. This allows the attached needle of the eccentric syringe to be nearly parallel with the injection surface
What is the difference between Luer-slip and Luer-lock syringes?
Luer-lock syringe requires to twist a needle (or syringe filter)
onto the tip, so that it becomes locked and sealed. Luer-slip syringe
requires just manual pushing of the needle into the tip.
What are the bulk products?
Bulk products have same syringes as luer-slip syringes, but not sterilized. Luer-slip products are packed in individual blister packaging, sterilized. Bulk products are packed in a whole same bag. If you don’t need sterile product, you can choose bulk products.
